Who needs a nap?

I am staring at this blank page today having real trouble making myself write my slice of life.  The longer I stare the heavier my eyelids become.  I need a nap.  There are a lot of reasons for my desire for a Sunday snooze.  This morning I chased around my almost two year old grandchildren.  They are faster than me so sometimes I am actually running to catch them.  They know no fear!   It could be the time change it seems to have messed with my schedule all day--up too early, not hungry at lunch time--what time is it anyway! It could be a left over exhaustion from outdoor chores yesterday.  There was raking and burning and chasing of above mentioned young ones.  What ever the reason I’m getting sleepy, I’m not gonna make it without curling up on the couch.  So I’m giving in, I’m going to borrow the words of Charles M. Schulz who said “Learn from yesterday, live for today, look to tomorrow, rest this afternoon.”

Naps are so necessary at this stage of life.

Took one myself this afternoon and it was wonderful!

Running after grandchildren should definitely qualify you for a well-deserved nap.

That quote is priceless and I promise to use that one soon. :)
I hope the nap sets things straight so that you have the energy to take on the week!

My Sunday nap is one piece of my weekly schedule that I never mess with. It sounds like you have earned one, too! I had never heard this Charles Schultz quote but it's my new favorite Sunday mantra!

love Charles Schultz...and I'm feeling like if I rest now, I won't be able to sleep at the right time tonight...and then there is the pushing the clocks forward thing too. xo

My Sunday afternoon nap is sacred time. Friends and grown children know to delay any calls until after my nap time. Glad you gave in to the urge today!

Naps are wonderful and much needed no matter what your age. I can understand how you feel after chasing 2 almost 2 year olds around - it's exhausting, but so much fun! And, of course, the time change really messes things up. Hope you enjoyed your nap!
