Love Letters

I recently found a website called The World Needs More Love Letters. (www.moreloveletters.com)  You can go to the site and read for yourself what it is all about.  When I think of love letters, it is the mushy ones written to spouses or lovers, but  these love letters are more like letters of encouragement written to a stranger.  Anyone can join the cause.  Letters can be sent to the organization or you can leave your letter some where on your own.  You can also request letters be mailed to someone who might need some uplifting!

There are plenty of examples on the website and lists of places that you might leave these letters if you want to join in.

I haven’t actually written one yet, but it would be fun to try.  Everyone is curious and I think if I found one it would just have to be opened and investigated.

One place the website suggests leaving them is inside library books.  I have to go there this afternoon, maybe its a good time to start. It might just make someone’s day!

(More love letters also has a facebook page (www.facebook.com/MoreLoveLetters) and is on twitter

I like this...and I am going to check it out. It is kind of like random acts of kindness...like buying a coffee for the person behind you at the drive-thru. I think I will try this...but first...check the website!! Thanks for the information. Jackie http://familytrove.blogspot.com/

We can all use those "love" letters of encouragement. I've got the website bookmarked and will check it out. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a fun idea. I've been getting some thank-you notes from some colleagues lately for collaborating. It's always nice to be acknowledged and praised, you don't even have to know who's saying it!

What a great idea. Thanks for sharing the link. Have you heard of a blog called thxthxthx. She wrote a thank you note each day to something: her coffee, the bus she rode to work, the waiter who was nice to her. It was such a fun idea and pointed out how much we have to be thankful for. Sadly, she doesn't blog anymore. I loved how she looked for something to be thankful for every single day. I am going to check out your link. Thanks.
