summer days

 This is the summer of rain!  There was another downpour today. It's slowing our building and drowning our garden, but we still had a great day. Lunch was at The Clark House with these fine folks.

This house was once the residence of our family doctor. His name was Malcolm Clark. It's now an event center and great lunch spot. 

After a quick trip to Walmart for supplies, we came home and canned salsa and peaches

Totals for last two days:

14 quarts green beans

8 pints of green beans

18 cans of salsa

5 quarts frozen green beans

There are no unfilled mason jars left in this house!

rather blustery day

It was a rather blustery day. Our gardens took a beating.

And there is so much water that plants are drowning.

There was also lightening involved. 

And the radar is currently showing that it is not over yet!
